Breaking: Messi may not leave Barcelona fc!!


Lionel Messi and Barcelona have been inseparable for the last 14 years, ever since the argentine joined the club as a shy 13-year-old. 
However, after football club Barcelona had suffered a crucial 8-2 defeat against Bundesliga side fc Bayern munich, Messi finally announced that he would be leaving the club though it is likely that he might end up staying at barca for at least 1 more year.

Here are key reasons why the argentine might not be able to walk away easily;

 After seeing Paris Saint-German activate the 222m Euro release clause in Neymar’s contract, the Barcelona high-ups had inserted a 700m Euro release clause in messi’s 4 year deal with the club in 2017 as they didn’t want a repeat of the saga with Messi.

 Messi earns approximately 100m Euros per year under the terms of his new contract, which includes 71m Euros in fixed income and rest in lieu of image rights and loyalty bonus. Such wages can deter admirers of Messi from coming forward.

 Barca president Bartomeu knows that contesting an election with the stigma of being the man who let the world’s best player leave the club would not win him any votes from the clubs faithful in next year’s presidential elections. It would be extremely crucial for the 57-year-old to hold on to Messi, if for nothing more than for at least one more season.

FG Announces Resumption Date for Universities,Poly Secondary and Primary Schools

The Federal Government on Thursday said September 21, 2020, has been set for the reopening of Tertiary Institutions, Primary and Secondary schools in the country. The federal government disclosed this in a statement by the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu at the end of this week’s federal Executive Council meeting. Adamu Adamu also said stakeholders were expected to continue to put protocols in place towards the reopening of schools according to the guidelines set by the Federal Ministry of Education. According to him, all schools in the country are set to resume in phases with effect from Monday, 21 September for a completion of first semester examinations for tertiary institutions and abridged third term of the 2019/2020 academic session for Primary and Secondary Schools.
