5 reasons why you haven’t been able to lose weight;

There are many reasons why people haven’t been able to drop some kg even when they exercise frequently or perform sporting activities.

The most frequent occurring factors/reasons are;

 Liquid calories; are you a soft drink lover or do you take in high-calorie beverages? Well you should know that these contribute a lot to significant weight gain. Soft drinks are often high in sugar content and acidity. Each gram of sugar contains 4 calories. In addition, they supply energy only and are of little nutritional benefits.

 Inactivity; you perform exercises 10 to 20minutues daily, but you spend the rest of the day eating and sleeping? If you have this kind of lifestyle, you can easily take in more calories everyday than you burn though exercises and routine daily activities. E.g. the number of hours you spend in front of a screen is highly associated with weight gain.

 Social and economic factors; do you know that you are more likely to develop obesity if you have friends or relatives with obesity? This is to say that the people you spend time with may influence your weight gain. So also, avoiding weight gain is also difficult if you don’t have safe areas to walk or exercise.

 Lack of sleep & stress; not sleeping enough or sleeping too much can cause an increase in your appetite for food that is high in calories and carbohydrate, which can contribute to weight gain. Also people seek more high-calorie food when they face stressful situations.
